Knitting. For Real!

It's been a while since I posted anything remotely yarn like, so here they are. Girly's scarf got this far. I kept making mistakes and having to rip back and redo. Needless to say, she hasn't worn it yet. It may be done by the time she gets Confirmed. At thirteen.
This is a chemo cap for a friend. She's in stage three Uterine Cancer. Everything has been taken out that can be taken out and she has had her first treatment. Thing is, she doesn't have the bloom of youth to help with the healing. She is a very strong woman though. So if you happen to say a prayer or send good healing for/to Lil, it probably wouldn't hurt the process.
This is a scarf I am working on. I haven't decided yet whether or not it's going to be sent to a scarf pal or someone else who could use a lift right now. I love how at this angle it has a vertically striped appearance and
at this angle it's a horizontal stripe. I also love how it feels and that even though it is super light weight, it's pretty warm.
Someone is really coming along well since his meds have been changed and are nearly adjusted to the correct dose. He's bright and energetic again. His fur is thick and silky too. Even his tail fur which was always a bit on the rough side feels softer. He was a little annoyed that he didn't get to eat any of the chocolate that the bunny left around though. Being the poor sick kid in our house doesn't get you far.

  • he may have not gotten any chocolate, but it looks like he got the easter bunny. good think the easter bunny came to my house BEFORE he went to yours!!

  • Knice Knitting :)

Glad the doggie is better. There is nothing more relieving than a dog getting healthy after an illness.

  • that scarf is gorgeous.
Fun chemo cap! Vibes going her way, I lost a friend to uterine cancer a few years ago, I really wish they'd find a cure for that nasty stuff.
