Coming up Roses.
The air is smelling mighty fine in these here parts lately.
I've got news so good it's making it hard to concentrate on things like new knits (It Ain't Plain, Jane! - Twilley's Freedom Spirit),
how my stitches look very different when I switch from in the round to flat knitting (Must remember to change the knitting style for sweaters and the like in the future.),
how I only have a couple of side pieces to add to Girly's vest then it's done,
how the snow looks so pretty and
how the sky looked amazing for about a 1/2 hour last night.
You see, there are three parts to the good news, but the best in Girly's opinion is that she gets to learn how to skate and that she is now registered for school! She's getting to be so grown up.
The best of the best though, that is what has me so happy. I am now a full-time employee! You are reading the words of the new General Accountant for the Municipality! Yay me and yay for a totally new skill set to add to the noggin. :)

Yay! Congratulations!
But oh... won't that rather cut into knitting time?
Heh - you'll still find time - congrats again!

Congratulations Dorothy! That'll keep you out of trouble...during office hours at least.

Congratulations to you and girly on the big, good news items!

congrats! More time working will hopefully mean more yarn $$$. I have had that circular/flat knitting transition issue too - I was "scooping" my purls instead of "wrapping-down" my purls. Ahhh...all the things to learn!

Think of what that's going to do for the yarn budget :-). Congratulations, Ms. General Accountant!

whoo hoo! how exciting. i think you should stick "supreme" before "general accountant" and "municipality".
other news was great, too. don't want to take away from supreme girly skating.

I like the way your '...plain jane' scarf pattern picks out the colours in the yarn. I've got a few balls of Freedom Spirit in my stash so might give this a try.
We've got a travelling ice rink coming to the Isle of Man in Halfterm next month so we're all looking forward to that. Miss CB had a bad fall & sprained her wrist last year when we went ice skating in the UK, so it'll be good to get her back on the ice.
Yikes, I haven't switched from circ to straight knitting yet but will be doing so when I get around to doing Miss CB's sweater. Must keep this in mind. Thanks for sharing!!
Enjoy the new job and challenges!

Congratulations! That is wonderful.
That is a gorgeous sky - so nice to be able to enjoy little things like that (well, really they are the *big* things)
Congrats to Girly too. How fun!
