It's all good!
The hat is still going well. I am now ready to fold the inner flap up and join it to the top then finish off the chart and begin the rest of the hat. The nephew will be happy because it should be tall enough for him to wear like he is a hoodlum which is apparently cool. I am old.
The Father-in-Law had a gold tube inserted into the blocked artery Monday and was discharged this morning. Apparently since he was recuperating well and there was no sign of infection anywhere, they figured he could go home for the rest of the recovery.
Apollo's lump turned out to be an abscess. It's been lanced and you really don't want to hear the rest. We are very happy. The Mr. had me practically off my head telling me that he had a dog who suddenly got a big lump like that and it turned out to be cancer. Bugger. He was trying to help, I suppose. Prepare me for the worst. Yeesh.
We have a line on a nice family type vehicle that is cheap enough to allow us to buy out the remaining 6 months of our lease and get it without raising our monthly car payments by too much. Of course this means I have to bring in a bit more each month so if you know of a casual job and that doesn't mind if I have another higher priority casual job...
We are a light and happy house today.

An abcess - what a relief. I can imagine the details post-lancing. There are some aspects of style that eluded me. The stand up hat and the hang-down pants are among these.

k...Hat, looks good. Teenage fashion does not *wink*
Health news, excellent! Both for father in law and pooch. The follow-up for treating a lanced abscess is grodie but I bet Apollo will be far more cooperative than Evil Feline Beastie #2 was with his.
Casual jobs . . . I'm betting that having to come to FL for said casual employment would be counter-productive. Just sayin'

Excellent! You knit so fast...
Glad Apollo just had a yucky abscess removal instead of what the Mr. had you (and us!) prepared for.

It's kind of awful how quickly they discharge people today. Glad everything is going well!
What a relief. It's a good thing you went in right away, having an abcess open at home is pretty horrible (you do not want to know). Thank goodness Apollo is going to be fine. Poor guy though.
And your hat is looking great!
