Knitting stuff and going on and on.

Just another day.

This morning I woke up to find two feet of snow to shovel. Wasn't that a "Good morning!". My daughter is having a "Klingon" day and the boy I look after wants to wreck every toy in the house as well as my cupboard doors and my mind! Thank God for naps!!! Sigh ... it's going to be long one.

I think I'll go and knit for awhile. That ought to put me in a better frame of mind. For all those who need to destress, I highly recommend a craft like knitting or crocheting. It's quiet, doesn't require a ton of tools, glue or make a big mess of your table. You can teach yourself, check out www.knittinghelp.com for great video clip help and tips on getting started. You don't even have to be very imaginative, all the patterns are written out for you. Just, please, exercise some taste. Check out www.youknitwhat.blogspot.com for examples of what NOT to do. Too funny! Well, off to knit before the kids wake up!

I am not the moderator, authour of, or in any way associated with the origins of either of the recommended sites. I just like them and think others will too.

My newest project.

I'm knitting a blanket for my daughter using Paton's Melody Quick and Cozy yarn. Nice yarn! I'm making a ton of 6" x 6" squares and putting them together with 2" borders between and all around. So far I have just begun the second square and the new project excitement has yet to wear off. Of course like every knitter out there, the want-to-do list is far longer than the time, stash and money!
