Someday ... a mother's lament.
Someday my wardrobe (the one that fits) will consist of something other than sweats, t-shirts and sweatshirts.
Someday I'll have worked off this baby belly and my good clothes will fit.
Someday I won't be sleep deprived and dreaming of nap-time.
Someday my hair and face will be done up nice.
Someday I'll finish all the projects I've started in less than a year.
Someday my carpet won't have juice/milk stains, cat hairball stains on it and embedded dog fur in it.
Someday I'll miss these days and look back with a tear in my eye and pang in my heart.
Until that day comes, I'll just keep slogging through today, writing here and knitting during nap-time, cleaning up again and again, making many meals and snacks and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. I'll keep hoping that I can stay awake longer than my daughter and loving all the hugs and kisses, because someday she won't want to "snuggle Mommy" anymore.
Someday I'll be looking forward to a grandbaby to snuggle and another Mommy's lament to hear.
