Saturday Sky with a little pretty.

Despite the rain last night, the Saturday Sky says...

It's going to be a nice one today.

Saturday Daylife.

The sky alternates between grey with fog and grey with sunny blue spots.

Rain last night has brought green for morning's light.

Pussy Willows are transforming.

Old growth is giving way to new life.

Leaves are spiraling open.

While others are patiently awaiting warmer days and more rainy nights.

Sky and fun, I hope.

Today's sky is a beautiful blue and after the rain yesterday, the snow has gone down a bit and I have hope for an early spring. Maybe this year the children will be able to search for Easter Eggs outside in t-shirts. It's pretty rare to have no snow at Easter here. Although last year we didn't have much left. The odd bank in the bush.

Remember these? Some of you won't, but some of us do. Toddler, strap-on, dual blade ice skates! We only had brown, white or black when we were little, but when presented with the choice of brown, white, blue and pink, you know Girly was taking the pink. There isn't any Kindergym today so we are going to see if the outdoor ice rink is clear and not too busy. Girly really wants to go skating.

I'll let you know if I come back bruised and feeling clumsy. It shouldn't be too bad since I'll be in boots. Girly will have a ball.

Friday's dog and Saturday's Sky

Friday night there was a moon dog off to the right of the moon. Can you see it?

No, okay, an auto colour adjust, auto exposure adjust, auto contrast adjust and an auto levels adjust later and look, there it is. It was way cooler in real life, but my beloved camera just doesn't like night shots.

This morning dawned bright and clear with very little wind. I think the snow and ice are going to take a real cutting today. They've already gone down quite a bit and we just may be swimming by May. Probably not comfortably though.

A bright grey day.

Today's sky is bright with all shade of grey from gunmetal to pale silver. The wind is wicked cold and it smells like change. I think that we just may be in for an early spring.

Girly thinks that times like these are good knitting times. Especially once the sun goes down.

The sky this Saturday.

The sun is out, the sky is a beautiful blue. It beckons to the people to come out and enjoy the bright new day.

Heed not the beckoning, for the cold snaps and a touch of the snow brings pain.

Saturday's Hidden Sky

It was a bleak day in the Great White North.

The wind howled through the snow and drove people to bury themselves indoors where the fires burned and the drinks were hot.

If ever there was a day to knit, this was it.

Friday sets and Saturday dawns.

Friday left with long shadows reaching across the snow.
The play of blue on white showing shapes not visible before.
Adding beauty where none had been.
Revealing paths long since untraveled.
Saturday dawns cold and brittle.
Throwing it's lights in unexpected places.
Doors open with a scream. The hard, dry cold surrounds all who dare to step into Mother Nature's parlour. She will show no mercy today, beware to all who enter there.
